The 7th Management Board Meeting of the Transforming the Kosovo and Albanian Education System by Introducing Digital Technology in Teacher Education (TKAEDiTE) project took place virtually today, bringing together university partners and stakeholders to discuss progress, share outputs, and prepare for upcoming milestones. Hosted by the University of Prishtina, the session ran from 09:00 to 10:30 and included updates from key contributors across the consortium.
One of the first topics addressed was the status of deliverables, including two significant outputs from the University of Prishtina: the Kosovo Digital Competence for Educators initiative and the launch of the Educational Technology Bachelor Program. These were presented for approval as a critical step toward modernizing teacher training through digital tools.
Krenare Pireva Nuci of the University of Prishtina then took the floor to present updates on communication with the European Union, including the approval of the amendment process, the upcoming mid-term report, and preparations for the second installment request. She also announced a major recognition for the project: TKAEDiTE has been selected as a base case to share experiences at the EU Cluster Meeting in Kosovo, set for May 29, 2025.
Next, the meeting turned to Open Educational Resources (OER), with Arsim Susuri from the University of Prizren sharing developments and challenges in their OER offerings.
To ensure the project’s high standards are maintained, Fisnik Dalipi from Linnaeus University presented a comprehensive overview of the Quality Check Instruments filled by all partners, reflecting the project’s commitment to accountability and continuous improvement.
The board was also reminded of the importance of completing infrastructure needs in alignment with work package deadlines, specifically before the project reaches the 24-month milestone.
The session concluded at 10:30 with a shared commitment to continue the impactful work of embedding digital competencies into teacher education across Kosovo and Albania.
