Presentation of the First Version of the OLR



Today, the first version of the OLR (Online Learning Resource) was officially presented from University of Prizren partners for MESTI and UP, marking a significant milestone in the advancement of digital education. In the event participated, Qamile Sinanaj, Head of the Division for the Development of International Programs in Higher Education and Science, Shqipe Bruqi, Acting Director of the Department of Education Digitalization, Feime Llapashtica, Head of the Division for Curriculum and Textbooks, Blerta Perolli-Shehu, Vice Dean for Science, Krenare Pireva-Nuci, Project Coordinator.
Key discussions included:
1. Teacher Digital Competency Profiles: The need to equip teachers with essential digital skills to effectively utilize technology in classrooms was emphasized.
2. Curriculum Reform: There was a focus on revising ICT (Information and Communication Technology) subjects to meet the demands of the digital era, as well as embedding digital competencies across all existing disciplines.
3. Recommendations for Implementation: Blerta Perolli-Shehu and Krenare Pireva-Nuci presented recommendations for the Ministry, suggesting the creation of a concrete plan to operationalize the outcomes of the project.
Additionally, Shqipe Bruqi discussed the digitalization of educational materials and processes, stressing the importance of alignment with the education strategy and fostering close collaboration to synchronize results. Feime Llapashtica urged universities to support curriculum reform by leveraging recommendations from tkaedite.eu and assisting teachers in enhancing their digital competencies to align with the reformed curriculum.
The event underscored a strong commitment to modernizing education through strategic reforms, fostering collaboration, and empowering both educators and students to thrive in the digital age.
