Cooperation of the Faculty of Education with the Schools of Prishtina

The Faculty of Education as the coordinator of the TKaEDITE.eu project starts cooperation with the schools of Pristina in the field of digital competence of teachers.

The Faculty of Education has signed a memorandum of understanding with 6 Primary and Lower Secondary Schools in Prishtina for the implementation of activities as part of the TKaEDITE.eu project. Partner schools in these projects are: Xhemajl Mustafa, Elena Gjika, Emin Duraku, Faik Konica, Green School and Meto Bajraktari.

The project is co-financed by the European Union (“TKaEDiTE.eu” project), through which schools will benefit trainings from local and international professors to increase the digital competence of teachers and organize challenges in the STEM field for their students.

The Dean of the Faculty, Blerim Saqipi, said that such projects aim to help teachers in the service, and to create conditions within the classrooms to integrate technology in support of the higher quality teaching process, while as an idea it comes within the faculty’s initiatives for the transformation of teaching paradigm towards the development of teachers who apply technology in learning and develop a more extended professional approach to the tasks of the profession.

The principals of the six schools expressed their willingness to cooperate with the faculty and all other partners in these innovative ideas which will also have an impact on the pre-university education system as the prerequisites for the development of quality teaching in classrooms are created in accordance with the current trends of reforms in teaching.
